Susnata Codes Project Release
Oxygen Weather
A professional animated weather intelligence web app with live weather, automatic location detection, backup weather, Google login, Gmail-style reminders, contact fallback, Blogger publishing, and GitHub source code.
Project Overview
Oxygen Weather is my professional weather web app created under Susnata Codes. I wanted it to feel stronger than a basic weather card, so I built it like a real product: animated dashboard, live weather intelligence, secure backend, email alerts, Blogger publishing, backup weather logic, and complete documentation.
Main Features
- Professional animated desktop and mobile weather dashboard.
- Automatic local weather when browser location permission is already enabled.
- Default Jalpaiguri weather when location permission is not granted.
- Manual city search and Use Location permission button.
- OpenWeather server API with private API key protection.
- Open-Meteo browser backup when Render is sleeping or unavailable.
- Last successful weather saved in browser local storage for emergency fallback.
- Google login interface with remembered profile behavior.
- Gmail-style reminder section for important alerts and daily reports.
- Contact form with Brevo email delivery and Gmail draft fallback.
- Live earthquake monitor inside the weather app.
- Professional footer linked to Oxygen Blog, Susnata Blog, and GitHub.
Technology Stack
| Frontend | HTML, CSS, JavaScript |
| Backend | Node.js, Express, Axios |
| Weather Data | OpenWeather API and Open-Meteo backup |
| Brevo HTTPS email API with optional SMTP fallback | |
| Hosting | Blogger frontend and Render backend |
How It Works
Visitor opens Blogger | v Oxygen Weather frontend | v Render Express backend | v OpenWeather API If Render is sleeping: Oxygen Weather frontend -> Open-Meteo backup weather For contact: Frontend -> Render -> Brevo email Fallback -> Gmail/mail app draft
Why I Built It This Way
Blogger is used for the public frontend because it is free and stable. Render is used for secure backend features because API keys and email credentials should not be exposed inside browser code. Open-Meteo backup keeps weather detection working when the Render free service is asleep. Brevo is used for email because it works through HTTPS and is better for Render Free than direct Gmail SMTP.
Source Code And Documentation
The full source code is available on GitHub with README, desktop screenshot, deployment notes, Blogger XML instructions, Render setup, Google login setup, and a full project presentation.

Final Words
Oxygen Weather started as a weather app idea, but it became a full web project with design, backend, deployment, automation, documentation, and backup systems. This is the type of project I want to keep building under Susnata Codes: useful, creative, and professional.
